About Us

We’ve been friends for more than fifteen years now.  We’ve laughed and cried together through a lot that was difficult to be grateful about.  We’re both descended from peoples in the craggy wind-bitten north – lands prone to sleet, gruel, sheep and a spirituality of grim endurance.  So you could say that we do not come by our gratitude naturally.

Knowing this about ourselves, we signed up in 2009 for a class in How To Be Happy and were pleasantly surprised to find that it worked!  We find our daily gratitude practice to be a powerful antidote to just about any small or large catastrophe.  We find joy in (almost) every day – often in the simplest, sweetest places.

As it turns out, the glass is actually more than half full.
